Ok so I bought an XJ today. 95' w/ a 4.0L, AX-15, I think the 8.25" rearend, NP231, 158k mi. Runs real good, and handles like a caddy on the highway. I almost don't want to spoil it.............almost. 8) I got it for a song, so i have quite a bit left over. Paid 2700.00 for it. Camera is charging so i'll post some pics tomorrow or so.
Here's the plan:
RE 7.5" Extreme duty long arm
SYE
CV drive shaft
Rusty's sliders
Rusty's front bumper (maybe stinger)
Rusty's Steering box brace
Rusty's Gas tank skid
4.56 gears
 Hard full cage

Might want to save a few bucks for that engine with that many miles just in case. _________________ 08 Asst. Patrol Leader & Treasurer/Trip Planner

'95 has the newer CCV and emmissions system and the ECM is still JTEC so not alot of computer bs to deal with. The early to mid '90's 4.0 had alot of panslap though. Check the commen leaks rear main, and oil filter adapter. My Xj was a '95 and I beat the hell out of it with 150k. _________________

I know it does, what I was refering to was the fact that it has 150K+ miles on it. I agree with Dan, save $2k for an emergancy engine swap. _________________ Jeff Simmons

You guys are kidding, right?
Those 4.0's regularly do a quarter million miles without issues. I wish they still put that bad boy in the JK's... _________________ Gene

!?!?? Good golly! I don't think so. I'm still debating on 5.5" and 33's or 7.5" and 35's, but that's as high as I'm going in an XJ. _________________ '95 YJ R.I.P....95 XJ 5.5" XDLA lift, 33" MTR's on Alloys, Homegrown Front bumper
