Rancho and Skyjacker have some good prices. I personally like nitrogen versus hydro shocks for 2 reasons! For one the nitros are a ton quieter on the trail and they also run cooler than a hydro and heat can lead to early failure especially when they are constantly going up and down on trails. Hydros will make a suction sound (Like a toilet plunger) that is fairly loud on the trail. I do have the Rancho RS 5000's on mine but had Skyjackers on my old rig. When they go out I will switch back to the Skyjacker Nitros or another comparable Nitro. The Ranchos are loud as hell when on the trail but have worked good and my Skyjackers were quiet. Just some food for thought!
Jeff found a 2" pro comp lift with all four springs and shocks on craigs list that I picked up for $100. I just got put in and it rides nice, pre-owned.

Have 2 old man emu nitrocharger shocks with about 500 miles on them. They were for the xj front end with 2-3.5 inch lift. You can have them free to see if you can make them work for your application.
